Hmm... as it has become evident that people are, in fact, reading my journal, which I didn't really anticipate, considering my tendency to lurk instead of post, I've decided to make it private, as it should have been from the beginning. I would rather conceal everything than give off the impression I'm trying to impress somebody with personal musings. My apologies for any inconvenience this may bring, although I doubt any will reveal themselves.
The lyrics will remain public, as I can't see how they could hurt me, and perhaps somebody will benefit from having a source of reliable lyrics. ^^
In any case, if you feel the need to contact me, whether prompted by curiousity or some other (hopefully kind) motive, I can be reached on AOL under whendovescry83. Don't hesitate to talk to me; I enjoy making and maintaining acquaintances, and certainly am happy to talk to anybody interesting. :)
Until then, good days and may you have the sweetest of dreams.

(edit july28: I changed the date to 2005 so it'd appear in front of all my entries for some time. It is, in fact, 2004.) |

| | Singin' in the Rain || Jamie Cullum | ] | "It's funny about your voice, how it hasn't changed. I can still hear it. 'Richard dear, I'll go with you any place. We'll get on a train together and never stop.'" "Please don't. Don't, Rick. I can understand how you feel." "Huh! You understand how I feel. How long was it we had, honey?" "I didn't count the days." "Well, I did. Every one of them. Mostly I remember the last one. A wow finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look on his face, because his insides had been kicked out." "Can I tell you a story, Rick?" "Has it got a wow finish?" "I don't know the finish yet." "Well, go on, tell it. Maybe one will come to you as you go along." "It's about a girl who had just come to Paris from her home in Oslo. At the house of some friends she met a man about whom she'd heard her whole life, a very great and courageous man. He opened up for her a whole beautiful world full of knowledge and thoughts and ideals. Everything she knew or ever became was because of him. And she looked up to him and worshipped him with a feeling she supposed was love." |

| | singin' in the rain || jamie cullum | ] | And so Annie waits, Annie waits, Annie waits For a call From a friend The same It's the same, was it always the same? Annie waits For the last Time
The clock Never stops, never stops, never waits She's growin' old It's gettin' late And so He forgot, he forgot, maybe not Maybe he's been seriously hurt Would that be worse?
Headlights crest the hill Shadows pass her by and out of sight Hoo, oo Annie sees her dreams: Friday bingo, pigeons in the park
Annie waits, for the last time Just the same, as the last time
Annie says "You see This is why I'd rather be Alone."
And so Annie waits, Annie waits, Annie waits For a call From a friend The same It's the same, was it always the same? Annie waits As the last...
Headlights crest the hill Who will be the one forevermore? Hoo, oo Annie, I could be If we're both still lonely when we're old
Annie waits, for the last time Just the same, as the last time (Annie waits) Annie waits, for the last time (Annie waits) Just the same, as the last time Annie waits But not for me |

late at night when the wires in the walls sing in tune with the din of the falls i'm conducting it all while i sleep to light this whole town
if you question what i would do to get over and be with you lift you up over everything to light up my room
there's a shopping cart in the ravine the foam on the creek is like pop and ice cream a field full of tires that is always on fire to light my way home
there are luxuries we can't afford but in our house we never get bored 'cause we can dance to the radio station that plays in our teeth
if you question what i would do to get over and be with you lift you up over everything to light up my room my room

i had a lot of girlfriends i should have known then click your heels and count back from three
do you want to go back you should have known that the butterfly in reverse here is me
maryanne, you're better than the world they took a lot of time getting it right on this girl i said, maryanne, you're better than the world they did a lot of things right on this girl...
there'd you want to go to...with nothing beside you but webbing and curfews and rain? and everything that hurts you is locked up inside you like butterflies and wings and other perfect things... and we go... swimming in the sunshine dangling from clotheslines seperate and fall into me but did you ever see me me absolutely me, but all you, but still me
oh, maryanne, you're better than the world they took a lot of time getting it right on this girl i said, maryanne, you're better than the world they did a lot of things right on this... did a lot of things right on this... did a lot of things right on this... girl...
[ carriage ] if anything...it should have been...a better thing from underneath you, staring at the ceilin' there's another world of chocolate bars and baseball cards that hides inside of all this tension that i'm feelin'
but it's all inside of you yeah, it's all inside of you
surprise surprise...i miss your hair...you miss my eyes and all this solitude, is my confidence eroding so we slide inside of someone's mouth and someone's eyes until, there's a sound of something intimate exploding
but it's all inside of you yeah, it's all inside of you but it's all inside of you yeah, it's all inside of you
i wish that I was anesthetized and sterilized and then we wouldn't have this evidence congealing surprise surprise...another pair of lips and eyes...and that is the consequence of actually feeling
it was all inside of you it was all inside of you it was all inside of you it was all inside of you |
